Wonder of Wonders at the Wanderers ! India beat South Africa by just 1 run to tie the ODI Series at One all !

It’s close to 1.30 am and India has pulled off a thrilling and incredible one run win in the second ODI v/s South Africa  at the Wanderers

We scored just 190 in 47.2 overs…thanks to Yuvraj scoring a valuable 53…..and then defended it by getting South Africa all out for 189 in 43 overs…India Captain Dhoni opened the bowling with Zaheer Khan & Munaf Patel and tried seven bowlers including Rohit Sharma who took a wicket too

…but Man of the Match Munaf Patel took 4 for 29 in 8 overs including the key wicket of S A Captain Graham Smith who he bowled for 77 and the crucial last two wickets…. when SA needed just three runs to win he had  Morkel slashing and being caught at point by sub Yusuf Pathan…..then with two required for a win Munaf had Parnell caught at point too by Yuvraj to pull off a stunning one run win for India…. only Harbhajan went through his 10 overs

ODI Series is now tied 1-1 with three games to go

  1. Even though India won the match,I still feel even Sachin is not a positive batsmen. He is not able to tackle either steyn nor Tsosobe.Only kohli and Raina are batting well (positively).I am sorry I may be terribly wrong and I feel sachin is not worth the praises we give.I am not envious of him.I feel Inzamam even Aravinda De silva (srilanka) is better than sachin many ways.Even kallis is far far better than sachin when it comes to batting.I am only talking about batting and getting runs.I feel if we have a team with indian batsman, spin and south african fast bowlers we will white wash southafrican team

  2. Mr. Ramurthy, how can a Pakistani batsman ever be good. India played well and won. You need to re-consider your statement and modify it. Aravinda de Silva was no doubt a good batsman but no where near Tendulkar. The Late Don Bradman put Sachin Tendulkar before him and so has the world. He plays for INDIA.

  3. ….my advice…like for Scrips in Equities too as for Players in Cricket…don’t go for analytical overkill or you’ll miss an opportunity…for enjoyment and entertainment too…we all have our bad days.. form is temporary but class is permanent…and we all have our favourites….Sachin arguably is the First among Equals….let’s just be glad we live in his playing era !…..Cheers !
