We are hour and a half into counting in the 288 Seats and these are clearly the emerging trends in Maharashtra
- Congress/NCP alliance leads in 120 seats of the 268 of 288 leads so far…..70/50 is the breakup….the magic figure is 145….clealry the incumbents will not be dislodged from their Prime Dress Circle seats….will we have a NCP CM,instead of a Congress one…will Ashok Chavan lose out his CM seat ?
- One Raj is on the way out and one on the way in !….BJP is being decimated and it’s National Head, Rajnath Singh is clearly the loser…and Marathi Manoos,Raj Thackeray and his MNS is on it’s way in….leads in 8 seats in Mumbai !…clearly worrisome for Congress too….there has been some anti incumbency voting and MNS seems to have capitalised…but not BJP…..BJP no longer is a credible opposition
- Shiv Sena is holding fort well but it’s alliance partner BJP has let it down very badly
