LLoyds Steel closes strong at Rs 12.91 despite going into Trade-to-Trade from tomorrow

On Christmas Eve,under two weeks ago or better yet, just eight trading days ago,I had blogged on Lloyds Steel as below…..

Lloyds Steel @ Rs 9/10…Turnaround from Treachery !?

……and asked you to watch out for it in 2010……It’s been hitting many 5% upper circuits the past few trading days…and this has led it to be shifted tomorrow to Trade-to-Trade Settlement from tomorrow…this essentially means no intra-day trading is allowed…all transactions have to be settled by Delivery

……Despite this, Lloyds Steel continued to show ,both, Volume and Price Strength yesterday and more importantly today….Indications are that it should rise further in the days to come

Next target range….Rs 16 to Rs 18

Australia (127 & 381) beat Pakistan (333 & 139) to take a winning 2-0 lead in the Cricket Test Series down Under…Miracle or Mediated!?

Would you believe it!?….On the verge of a historic Test Win Down Under,Pakistan actually lost to Australia !

Trailing 206 runs in the first Innings, only a Miracle could have saved Australia….Pakistan had to capitulate in their second innings just like Australia did in their First….and guess what !? The Miracle happens !? Pakistan did !

Look at the scores….Australia 127 and 381 and Pakistan is a virtual reversal of this… 333 and 139

Now ! Now !….Miracle or some Mediation !?

Such ‘Miracles’ are happening too frequently raising issues of Cricket’s Credibility….turns you off this Sport

and a last point….In such situations I simply abhor the sweet commentary and write ups in the media on how such a ‘Miracle’ happened !…really do !….are we suckers or what !…and mind you,I do believe in Miracles !…but only when God ‘fixes’ them !

Of Life’s Priorities….Of Golf Balls,Pebbles,Sand and Coffee!

As we look with renewed Hope towards 2010,it’s worth reiterating the Lesson of Life and it’s Priorities below The Jar of Life

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the Jar of Life and 2 cups of coffee.A professor stood before his philosophy class
And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty Jar
and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced  two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.  The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor,   as the laughter subsided,

‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things – family, children, health, Friends and Favorite passions. Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house and car.

The sand is everything else –The small stuff. read more
