A few agitated thoughts on India continuing to fight India !

A few agitated thoughts on India continuing to fight India !

What a disconnect ! BJP Sweeps a State in General Elections that continues to be governed by another Party

The Voters are the same…they voted BJP in resoundingly in UP in the recent General Elections ….they had voted Samajwadi Party in earlier years in the State Elections

So we have a disconnect and inefficient governance in place…that’s our Election Structure…it needs to change…where a party has swept the State in General Elections and another party is in governance there, the latter should immediately resign and fresh State Elections should be called for immediately…otherwise this party will be allowed to govern the State for a full Five Years

But then what explains Delhi’s volte face by Voters…they voted strongly for the new AAP and Kejriwal in the State Elections held recently but thumped them in the General Elections voting in BJP Candidates in most seats

Those who argue that MPs and MLAs play different roles…hogwash !…both represent their constituencies and have to promote the constituencies interests at Centre & State respectively

States of J & K and UP  and even Tamil Nadu in dissent with the Centre

I’m agitated ,in particular, by the State & Centre Conflict intensifying in Jammu & Kashmir (National Conference on Sec 370 and their general Eid pardon to stone pelters) and Uttar Pradesh (Samajwadi Party and their insentiveness to Rape reoccurences & Law & Order &  false proclamations of being secular while perpetuating caste and religious divides ) …it’s the fiefdom and dynastic mindset that is raising it’s ugly head in these states…and some of the State CM Utterances and even actions of these two States border on ‘traitor territory’ and compromise our Democratic Nation’s interests…

…. how can the J & K CM say ” Either J & K will no longer be a part of India or Sec 370 will exist !”…there is a growing belief and in fact realisation that Sec 370 actually compromised J & K and India and not protected the State

... how can the UP CM and his earlier CM father responding to reporters questions on specific rape incidents  say ” These are Boys and Mistakes Happen ” & ” Are you affected ?”  ….Sad & Insensitive,Yes but Cruel too !….those in Badaun in UP who raped 14 & 15 year old Dalit Sisters and then brazenly hung them on trees to die are evil and not human…they need to be send to Hell right away….I’m not opening a debate on the Death Penalty here…you can define Hell the way you want….Quick Track Justice, preferably in Special Courts in the Centre ( as Criminals are brazen and bold because they are protected and patronised by State Politicians, many of who too have dangerous criminal records)   for all such gruesome crimes anywhere in the Country, for Death Penalty or Solitary confinement for life….to those Police responsible who did nothing to prevent this,in fact police personnel themselves were some of the rapists !…should not just be suspended but locked away for a long long time….and no bail to any defendant while the trial is on read more

Our New Indian PM does not have a Magic Wand ! Stock Markets typically will not believe this!

Our New Indian PM does not have a Magic Wand ! Stock Markets typically will not believe this!….and will tend to, and there is ample historic precedence and evidence of this, often run ahead of fundamentals in the coming months and years…especially the mid caps and small caps and low life caps !…yes you read that right !…low life caps !

Cheers ! have a large cap weekend…at least a midcap !….Can the Sensex ever Sin !

If you think this as a caution, then you’re thinking !…but don’t think too much !…you thought at 18000 then at 20000 then at 22000 and now at 24000…when next 26000 !?

Act…no “I could have” or “should have” or “would have”

May 24,2014 Rated 2.5 on 5 Just back from Global Fusion at Linking Road…invited by Friends…..Cacophony & Crazy Crowd outside on the dug up road road that has Link Square where the restaurant is on the 3rd floor…..However inside it’s another world….Impressed by the inside ambience and the spread out spread and buffet concept but not so impressed by the food quality… expected connoisseur stuff as it is pitched as upmarket ….but was just about ok…soup alternatives were basic….starters and dimsums were passable… chilli paneer was rubbery and hard though the Indian paneer in the Main Course was soft …..the shitake tasted and smelt plastic and not fresh…sushi was well let’s keep sush about it…. small pastries tasted like bread….mousse did not melt in the mouth….and all of us found the food a bit oily too….service was fairly attentive but just about…not personal or friendly or top class like I thought it should be for such a place.. .trying to think which dish stood out from the 1000 ! (deliberate hyperbole) …none really….would I go back there?..let me think !… .not if I had to pay !…maybe not even if I did not have too !…they charge a 10% Service Tax too !…so don’t feel bad about not leaving any tip !….there’s no a-la-carte….just the buffet…. @ Rs 1200 incl taxes per person for a Saturday Night …was tempted to label it as Global ConFusion !…but think that would be unfair…we felt a bit cold as were seated in a distant corner where there were less patrons seated and ac draft was on us….left cold Olive Bar & Kitchen,Mahalakshmi,Mumbai….Greek  Med May 8,2014 Rated 3 on 5 Overpriced and a Greek Pretender…some servers not so knowledgable and menu for veg is limited and not much flexibility is accomodated when requested ….not good value for money….personally felt a bit cramped….would I go there again !?….only if invited ! Barbeque Nation,Worli,Mumbai….Only Buffet…..Indian,Chinese,Tandoor October 7,2013 Rated 4.5 on 5 We had an excellent Sunday Lunch experience yesterday at their Atria Outlet…the ambience and service was very attentive and the 10 starters just kept being replenished quicker than we could finish them~the soups, the starters on skewers at your table grill, the main course and the desserts were outstanding…..daughter was celebrating her 18th Birthday with 12 friends and our Son at one table and we were deliberately seated at another….though we had arranged our own cake, they too gave us a complimentary one as well as a great Slush…it was also warm to see the staff lined up in unison cheering while they played the Birthday Song when the Candles were Blown and Cake was Cut….and they have a Policy of No Tips ! …..they even went out of their way to arrange an excellent table with a view at our request ~ they had to combine a few for this

We found it a ‘Good Value for Money’ Place even though there is no a-la-carte and the only option is the all inclusive Veg or Non Veg Buffett……weekdays it’s cheaper…..we got stuffed on the Unlimited Starters itself ! …probably that’s what everyone does as this is their speciality !….they also have a good choice of mocktails and cocktails and a full Bar…. will surely patronise them again ….they send us a sms same evening thanking us for visiting them and hoping to see us again soon….they shall

……. 😥 after having received a thumbs down a few weeks ago from a ‘was’ client in Bangalore even after a 50 %+ return inside six months on a suggested Equity Portfolio for Rs 50 lakhs because he was not convinced enough and failed to act on it ! it  was heartening to receive a genuine testimonial this week  from another  client in Sangli  with an Equity Portfolio of under Rs 10 lakhs that can only serve to motivate

” Dear Gauravji,

Thank you very much Sir for your wealthy advice.  While joining your advisory service there was little bit hesitation in my mind whether to spend Rs.30000.00 for the service or not.  But now there is no confusion or hesitation in my mind and i can say that i have not spend the money but i have invested the same and you have rewarded me lot more.  Only in one scripe (GATI LTD) you have already returned me the fees.Since 2006, i am in the stock market but never earned this much profit.  Currently holding following scrips recommended by you and riding the gains.  Please inform at which level to sell.  ……………………………. Thanks a lot once again Sir.  “ Well what can I say ! except  ” Thank You Sir ! for the Appreciation ! “…we do our best…it’s up to God the rest !” …and I am sure the Markets will remain kind !
